Just an opinion and strategy that worked for me.Tails of Iron is a linear game full of story elements. Make one hit at a time if you have to- charged if you can. Manage the greed and look for the one shot opening. The next best one is like 60% of its damage. But there is no one handed weapon that even comes close to the full damage output of the hammer. You can block and perry with a two handed weapon- you don’t have to be holding a shield. Then use a spear as your two handed weapon and you can have the best of both.

Plus it launches u forward just a bit and helps maintain a better distance from your target. And yes, the hit box on the hammer is tricky- I found that charged single handed attacks work great when I couldn’t get the sweet spot. And you can wear all heavy stuff and you should be in the middle weight tier still if you use the bow. Change your projectile to a yellow bow- and spam at the end- poison them and when they are purple hit them with arrows to finish the last health bar.
